Why We Love Pampers Pure
There are two types of moms. Ones that research everything. And ones that wing it. When I kicked-off this motherhood journey, my feet were planted firmly in the “wing it” category. Which, ironically, completely conflicts with my usual type-A personality.
My inclination to worry however stuck with me. But I like to get really dramatic and worry about the “BIG” stuff. You know, that every runny nose will turn into a hospital stay. And that if our toddler picks her lock and gets out of her big girl bed in the middle of the night, she’s 100 percent going to fall down the stairs and break every bone in her body.
And so, I skipped right over the everyday stuff that I figured didn’t really matter and plopped those comfortably in the “wing it” category. For example, a diaper is a diaper. It serves its purpose and then you throw it away.
WRONG. So very, very wrong. We lucked into becoming a Pampers family when Bauer was born. Despite having super sensitive skin (like a nestle from her Daddy and his five o’clock shadow leaves her with a rash for hours), we survived B’s diaper years unscathed.
Then sweet Kingsley was born. You know that saying, “If it ain’t broke. Don’t fix it.” Well we ignored that saying and took ALL THE FREE diapers from friends, the hospital, you name it. We reverted back to our “a diaper is a diaper” mentality and we paid the price.
You know how you spend the first 6+ weeks with a newborn waking up every couple hours to do the bottle and diaper change dance? Well, when you have diaper rash of epic proportions, that dance looks a little like this: bottle, bath, prescription antibiotic ointment, air dry. And by the time your babe air dries, she’s hungry again.
The routine was a breeze compared to watching the pain our little K was in. And so just like that, I became the mom that researched everything. The mom that sent her husband back to the store if he came home with the wrong brand of diapers and wipes.
Which is why I’m super pumped to declare that today we’re not only a Pampers family, we’re a Pampers Pure Collection family. If you want to stay comfortably in the “wing it” category – you go girl. ‘Cause I’ve officially done your research for you. We’ve tried other natural diapers and for various reasons they’ve come up short – not enough protection, too dry of wipe. You name it. We’re like Goldilocks over here and The Pampers Pure Collection is JUST RIGHT.
The Pampers Pure Protection diapers are the first product that combines plant-based and other thoughtfully selected materials with Pampers trusted leakage and dryness protection. Pampers Protection had me at hello – yes, the diaper holds through the night for Kingsley. Which now that we’re finally sleeping through the night, is a feature I’m not willing to sacrifice. The wipes are gentle enough on the most sensitive of baby bums.
And the designs? Adorable. Each size option of diapers feature different fun prints (we’re partial to the otters – Kingsley is size 3). The only problem is big sister B likes to hoard them for her baby dolls. Which isn’t the greatest use of resources.
The Aqua Pure wipes include carefully-selected ingredients, including 99% pure water and a touch of premium cotton. The wipes are specifically created to give moms the highest water content wipe while still delivering on skin protection – making them gentle enough for baby bums, hands and faces.
Check them out for yourself here. Your baby’s bottom thanks you.
