Quick + Easy Home Upgrades
Thank you to The Home Depot for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
If you’ve been reading along over the years or we’re friends IRL, you know I’m constantly brainstorming ways I’d like to update our home. My husband golfs. I sketch new furniture layouts. What can I say? Pouring love into our home is my favorite hobby!
I’m totally guilty of stressing over large projects and big full room reveals. The proof is right here in our home’s gallery. But as much as I love a major transformation, sometimes all you need is a small upgrade to have a big impact.
Today, I’m sharing how we did just this in one of our secondary bathrooms with Home Depot’s Delta In2ition 2-in-1 Shower. When we built our home three years ago we were in the midst of selling our first home and welcoming our second baby into the world. It was chaos and we made the decision to really focus on a few spaces (our master bathroom, for example) and keep everything else simple – white walls, builder-grade fixtures. With time, we’d circle back and update things to add character and personality.
Well…we’ve slowly been making the rounds and finally decided to give Kelly’s office shower some love. Kelly works from home and has an office over our detached garage. He often works out during lunch in our home gym below and then showers in his office. Basically, if he’s going to get anything done he needs to avoid the main home and the three children that ambush him the second he walks through the door.
Long story, short – he works hard and I’m happy to add a nice upgrade to his little oasis! The Delta In2ition Two-in-One Shower features an innovative technology combination shower head and hand shower. It’s integrated dual-functionality gives you maximum flexibility and warmth. And Kelly gives it two-thumbs up for an easy install…took him less than five minutes! It makes bathing children and pets super easy, so we already purchased a second one for the main home!
(Kingsley helped with the install and decided the shower was a phone. She had a lovely conversation with Santa. See for yourself in my Instagram stories!)
I love knocking out little projects like this. Want to know what’s on my radar for 2020? Here’s my Christmas list, Santa:
Upcoming Home Projects
-New light fixture for upstairs guest bedroom
-Paint kitchen island a moody green, similar to Crichton’s accent wall color (p.s. – it’s Halls of Ivy by Behr)
-Add shelving to family room built-ins
-Swap family room fan for light fixture
-Front porch swing
-New patio furniture for backyard before Spring
-Add a few glass cabinets in kitchen
What’s on your home renovation wish list for the new year?
