#LovetheChange this Father’s Day with Pampers Pure
Updated: Check us out on Atlanta + Company sharing more modern dad tips!
I’m the first to praise single-moms, military moms and any + all moms that tackle the daily grind of parenting alone…because I’ve been blessed with Dad of the Year over here. And walking around the girls’ preschool halls, I know today’s modern world is full of moms that would boast the same. And y’all, that just makes Father’s Day that much more fun to celebrate.
In the carpool line, special sing-a-long performances and afterschool picnics, it’s not uncommon to have just as many dads present as moms – and they aren’t looking for a pat on the back for it. Today’s modern dad is INVOLVED. They are juggling careers, children and managing to sneak in 18-holes of golf on a Friday so they aren’t heading out the door on Saturday morning.
And I am HERE FOR IT. (clap, clap)
My dad is former military and forever a hero. But, it meant that he spent much of my childhood overseas defending our freedom. That was my normal. He made each precious moment count he had with our family growing up and today he’s a super involved grandfather. Each time my parents visit he comments on how much he missed during our younger years – and compliments his son-in-law’s daily involvement.
Our girls’ normal is daddy supporting our family from his home office, while still sitting on the sidelines of every soccer game and ballet class.
It’s mommy saying, “Your turn” when one of the girls cries out in the middle of the night and not thinking twice about the old stigma of which duties fall into mom’s lap.
Male restrooms aren’t always equipped with changing stations, but our daddy doesn’t complain. He pops the trunk of his Tahoe, pushes his golf clubs to the side, and does diaper duty smack in the middle of the parking lot.
Like I said, DAD OF THE YEAR.
Father’s Day has been around for ages – and it’s such a special opportunity for the girls and I to pamper our daddy with the good ole stuff – you know, hot dogs and cold beer! But nowadays, it’s also a reminder to support our dads! We spend a lot of time advocating for moms to get the support they need to do it all (and yes, PREACH), but we can’t leave dads behind when we’re asking so much of them!
This Father’s Day, we’re excited to partner with Pampers Pure and help celebrate the hands-on role dads play in the lives of our littles with the ultimate gift – the #LoveTheChange diaper kit from Pampers and Walmart.
We absolutely should and do #LoveTheChange – but we need to support it, too! Here’s the thing, dad is not going to put a “manly” diaper bag on his wish-list over that new Garmin watch that tells you exactly how many yards away the 16th hole is…but he sure as heck would appreciate a stylish backpack version when he’s on dad duty. I’ve seen it with Kelly. He loves dad-life, and he totally has a little more pep in his step when I do something to make his everyday easier. One of the best (and super simple) things I’ve done is put together a bag full of essentials (a #DiaperDuty kit if you will!) from Walmart.com/LoveTheChange just for him – Pampers Pure diapers, Aqua Pure wipes…that little toy that will buy him five extra minutes of quiet in traffic.
If you’ve been here a minute, you know we’re a Pampers Pure family. Very simply put, The Pampers Pure Collection is pure protection that works. Crafted to include plant-derived, dermatologically tested and other thoughtfully selected materials, Pampers Pure diapers are hypoallergenic and gentle for baby’s delicate skin. We started using Pampers Pure as soon as they came out with Kingsley, and baby Crichton will be wrapped in the same come September!
Dads today work harder than ever. They often still hold very traditional roles when it comes to financial support of a family, but they’re also encouraging mom to focus on herself + career by helping more around the house and with kids.
I feel like so many tips or “mom hacks” are directed at well, moms. But now that we know that dads are crushing the game: DADS! You can save time and money loading up on Pampers Pure at Walmart with free pickup by ordering online and have them loaded in your car. Or, get free 2-day shipping on purchases over $35 at Walmart.com.
I’d love to hear how your family will celebrate dad this Father’s Day. How will you #LoveTheChange and support dad!?
