Master Bedroom Reveal
Yay! It’s here! I’m finally getting my act together and sharing full room details for our master bedroom. We’ve lived in this home a little over a year, but I’ve been dreaming up this space much longer. I fell in love with these glass drop chandeliers years ago, and so while my husband was focused on the important stuff – like oh I don’t know, what our new monthly mortgage payment would be if we went through with this build – I was screaming in the background, “CAN WE WIRE OUR MASTER FOR PENDANTS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE BED!?’ Priorities.
I wanted to create a master bedroom space that was dreamy, comfortable and all our own.
When the folks from Boll & Branch reached out about their new Floral Pewter Sheet Set I was like, “SIGN ME UP.” I love how delicate and feminine the print is – but also it speaks my language when it comes to neutrals. Paired with their gorgeous Solid Hemmed Duvet Cover in White, Cotton Waffle Blanket and Solid Hemmed Sham and this is what dreams are made of.
I wish I could link our headboard for you, but this bad boy was custom made. I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to local woodworkers when shopping for beds, tables, etc. We’re so happy with the custom pieces in our home – the quality is amazing and they are usually more affordable than a big retailer. If you’re local to Atlanta, we love the folks at Veaseys Creations. Just draw up a picture of what you’re going for and they make magic happen. Tell them I sent you!
Our master is right at the top of our stairs and opens up through two double doors. It’s beautiful – at least it is now that I’ve moved this piece and oversized round mirror to the main wall. Before, you walked up to two small chairs and a narrow vertical mirror that we’ve had for years. It was meh. I would literally mumble under my breath “lame” every time I walked up the stairs and saw the lackluster scene.
This cabinet was originally blue and living in our piano room. I had a blue phase five years ago and this was the last thing standing. RIP blue. I grabbed a can of Magnolia Home Chalk Paint in Blackboard from Target and went to town. My DIY skills are 100 percent amateur, but I love the end result. If I can do it, ANYONE can.
I knew a regular sized mirror wouldn’t cut it, so I went big with this one from Ballard Designs. When it comes to wall decor, size matters. I’m not one to clutter a space with lots of knick knacks, I prefer big pieces that make a statement. The oversized vase with eucalyptus is my favorite and an easy way to elevate your game whether on a desk, table, etc. I also have one in my office.
Remember how I kicked-off this post? I wanted to create a space that was “all our own.” Yeah, good joke. These two butterballs love sneaking into mommy and daddy’s bed.
